**IMPORTANT Wedding Shuttle details**

We will be providing wedding shuttles for out-of-town guests to and from the wedding venue DEPARTING PROMPTLY FROM THE LOEWS SANTA MONICA HOTEL ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13TH AT 3:30PM. We suggest that you are please seated on the shuttles no later than 3:15pm to secure your safe passage to The Sunset Restaurant.

We are pleased to offer this transportation to ensure your enjoyment and safety, however due to the significant distance of the wedding venue from Santa Monica, the large shuttle will make only one trip to the wedding and one trip back to the Loews Santa Monica Hotel at the end of the reception at 11pm. We will have a smaller shuttle making additional runs throughout the evening, but the number of runs will be limited due to the large distance.

COCKTAILS ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11TH...

On the Thursday before the BIG day we would love to meet everyone (family, friends, in-town and out-of-town guests!!) for cocktails at Wilshire Restaurant in Santa Monica starting at 8:30pm. We will be located at the back outdoor bar, if weather permits, or in the front lounge bar.

A COUPLE OF QUICK UPDATES FOR WEDDING GUESTS...

• Since we are having a barefoot-on-the-beach ceremony, please take note it will be sandy so you may want to bring flip flops or you are welcome to kick off your heels and go barefoot along with us and the wedding party. We will be changing into our dress shoes and heels for the indoor cocktail hour and reception. Towels will be available beachside after the ceremony.

• We have decided to have cocktails on the Thursday night (October 11th) before the wedding rather than on Friday night (we want to be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the BIG day). The destination will be in Santa Monica. More details to come soon.

We recommend for out-of-town guests to stay in Santa Monica, which is a 45 minute drive from the wedding venue in Malibu. There is plenty to see and do in Santa Monica proper (the beach, the pier, the promenade, shopping, spas, restaurants, etc.) and the Malibu Getty Center Art Museum is just a short drive away. The weather is usually hot in October in LA..with 80-degree days and cooler evenings in the upper 60s and low 70s.

The following are the hotels that we suggest along with the wedding blocks we have secured:

The Sheraton Delfina - This property offers the best rates at $219/night (and if you call to book a room just ask for the "social rate"). Please note this property is not beachside, although they do have a pool. The Sheraton is a 20-minute walk to the Third Street Promenade. The website is http://www.sheratonsantamonica.com/

The Georgian - This is an art deco property and the best option for couples interested in sharing a suite with two rooms separated by French doors at $290/night. Their best regular room rate is $230/night. The property is beachside and is just a 5-minute walk to the Santa Monica Pier and the Third Street Promenade. Please note, they do not have a pool. Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel - Their best rate is $269 for a non-ocean view room. This is an upscale/high end property. It's on the beach, has a pool, and it's walking distance to Third Street Promenade and the Santa Monica Pier. (We have a block of rooms under Richards/Leiken).
